Pros
Great for streaming and love the wi fi. The linksys ea6500 is a good second choice.
No more rebooting the windstream box several times a day. Bought as used very good condition. No drop-outs at all.
Cons
One of the extenders keeps dropping due to bad range. Was unable to ever get this model to connect wirelessly to the internet. Drops the internet connection regularly, every day, and it often drops the wireless connection.
Gave up on netgear. Couldn't take it anymore dealing with the supervisor just wanting more money to fix their problem. Requesting a refund now.

Quality
This is the first wireless router for me and i'm very pleased with it.
Used to replace frontier netgear 7550 and am impressed with its ability to run various devices at the same time.
Set up was very simple with the exception of calling frontier to get the password their tech used to set up initial 7550 router.
My dsl signal is very subpar so it is not completely resolved but the ac1200 improved my uptime considerably.
Competitiveness
I returned a tp-link because that was all i had.
I went to netgears website and searched through there and finally found out how to hook it up and that i had to download the netgear genie.

The instructions say that the genie will come up on the screen to assist setup but it did not come up so i did a restart with my laptop and as soon as it loaded the genie came up

The second problem was the password on the bottom of the modemrouter it was difficult to make out without a magnifier and even then i couldnt tell if what was there was the letter i el or numeral 1 or if the os were the letter or the numeral so i played around with it using each one until it worked

At first i called for assistance but left the phone sitting on the coffee table while i played around with trying to do it myself because the volume of the tinny music and the voice of the recorded ads were deafening even with my phone volume on low
