The nighthawk has two speed settings. The lower band installs with an ssid of netgear85. Ghz speed gives me 10-30mbs depending upon distance from the unit.

Don't ever buy a netgear product. You'll be * into the scam. Here are the questions they ask about their * product.

The set up is overly easy for the stupidest person. Poor coverage for a three story townhome. A 1 year life span seems a bit brief for a semi-pricey device.

Shows connectivity but it is not. Nighthawk boasts about as a selling point will not work with “out of date firmware”. If you are on spectrum’s network avoid this device if you are not.

My first one lasted around 7 plus years, and the router finally stopped working.

Great for the price point and saves space with the combo set up.

I pay $50 per year for more channels than you get.

Got a good price on this netgear modem-router combo and the setup to my xfinity isp couldn't have been easier

I'm also glad i don't have to rent the modem from my internet provider, which was costing me $15 a month.

We hooked it up and contacted our internet provider and it was online within a few minutes.

Competitiveness

This is the second time i’ve purchased the ac1900 to replace my rental modem/router from xfinity.

The signal is much better than the one we had with the router rental, this is a great fit for our home and internet use.

I can create private lans to seperate financing offices from warehouse computers in the same or over various ips at different locations.

Unfortunately, i couldn't set it up from the nighthawk app, since the admin password didn't match.
