Pros

Easy to set up and good range. Faster wifi now comparing with comcast router. Ghz and 5 ghz ) are excellent. Works with xfinity.

This device is very reliable. This device handles heavy usage for a mid sized family, very well. Purchased about two years ago refurbished from embiz.

Cons

This purchase was a disappointment. It's being widely reported on netgear forums.

It tests oh so fast, but doesn't work and isn't functional. Only reason we upgraded is because we needed more bandwidth and range. Ghz signal is extremely poor.

Quality

My internet speed is faster with this than it was with the plug in modem.

I only buy netgear products and have not had any problems with any of their product.

I did end up with some other issues however, the biggest one being that the range on this router with the 5ghz network is not the best.

It only came with the power supply and original ethernet cable (no surprise), so i reset it to the factory settings and plugged it in.

Packaging/appearance

It did really well for us while living with my parents out in the country.

Competitiveness

I'm using it with an sb6121 and getting speeds in excess of 135mbps on the 5ghz radio, over 65gbps on the 2.

So, i took a gamble and ordered this router in a effort to get on that open 5ghz network.

After downloading wifi analyzer app, i saw just how crowded my network was, yet no one was on the 5ghz network.
