Pros
Set up was pretty easy using the app. Software gui is easy to navigate. The wi fi coverage is very good throughout my home.
With its sleek design and powerful performance, the nighthawk rax50 is truly a game-changer for anyone looking to upgrade their home wifi network. It has great coverage and speed tests are faster than previous router. Overall, a great upgrade.
Cons
It causes all devices to have to reconnect to the wifi signal multiple times a day. I believe the cpu inside is slow.
I have to hard reboot the router to get things working. Regardless of reboot and resetting.

Tech support is awful because the call center techs are in india & english not spoken well.

I had my choice of many routers and the order said it would be delivered in two days!
After receiving and attempting to connect with my xfinity for two days, i gave up and sent it back.
I sincerely doubted such rapid service but shockingly it was delivered on time to my remote home!
I ordered it and it came quickly so i pulled the old unit, hooked up the new units and called spectrum / twc to register the new modem.
Competitiveness
Range is much better than old system (netgear 30), and the nighthawk app is great to work with.
I think netgear nighthawk is the best and this router didn’t disappoint.
I purchased this unit (and a netgear modem) to replace an all-in-one unit from motorola that was running docsis 3.
