Pros

This unit gives strong wi-fi signal throughout the house. Works greatin my house and fast wifi speed. It also has a wan port, so if i change providers, i can connect it into the new network to expand the wi-fi range.

It’s moderately easy to install. Yes, it helps to be tech savvy to set it up. When i use my laptop i will be having it backed up automatically, just like my desktop is.

Netgear ac1900 is a replacement to the isp provided actiontec. The problem is rarely with the modem/router; it is almost always my phone company and their phone line. I cut them some slack for that.

Cons

Service provider is centurylink adsl and i pay for 10mbps/1mbps. Decided to cut my losses and return for refund.

Replaced my old modem with the nightawk modem router.

Centurylink would not confirm this d7000 to be compatible with the upgrade.

It wasn't an issue with the product but my terrible dsl connection.

The shipper will ripe you off on the shipping charges and tell the shipper not to deliver before a certain date.

He went above and beyond to expedite the order beyond the 5 days the fastest shipping was showing at checkout.

Competitiveness

I have had a d7000 for years at house number 1 and it has never skipped a beat with centurylink.

Bought a year ago and has worked like a champ ever since.

It is not the uverse service it is regular hard wired dsl phone line.

Turns out the nighthawk ac 1900 d7000 seamlessly continued to provide fast internet access.
