The nighthawk app is clunky and pointless. Vlans are nice, but they don't help if one can still access the router via the nighthawks app.
As-is, this thing doesn't function as a 5g modem for your network. Never got over 45 mbps. Went to staple's and found linksys for less money. It says there are 4x 1g ethernet ports, but it says 5 10/100 mbpsthat is not 1gig ports!

It works great as a hot spot but when i first hooked it up i did not use the option to use wifi when available so it immediately downloaded updates using data and that burned a lot of data unnecessarily
