Pros & Cons
Pros
All devices are hitting 1gig speeds via the ethernet port and wifi 6e signal. The wifi is strong enough to cover my whole house, which is around 2400 sqft. Ethernet.
As mentioned earlier, swapping out an older nighthawk for this one is super simple. It's more versatile than most, but still it could be better. This still has a few downsides, like the user-interface.
The netgear armor is a plug-and-play router. Set up the ssid name and password and you're good to go. It supports the latest wpa3 wifi password standard. The optional netgear security is great though i haven't subscribed to it yet.
Cons
Download speeds will still be limited to ordinary 1 gbps ceiling. If you don't have a switch that supports this then you only have 1gbps lan with a 2.
Nighthawk stinks and i really hate businesses that mistreat their customers this way. There may be other consumers or bots with good experience. This is unacceptable for a product that costs over $500.
The nighthawk series is overkill for our needs. The firmware and interface are basically worthless. The phone app is pretty much worthless except to manually turn devices on and off.
Support is only for a year and you have to pay for bitfender and lacks parental controls. Then they require notifications be turned on.

Competitiveness
This product was super easy to setup compared to each of the past product setups.
The 5g network is incredibly fast as the raxe300 just handles multiple signals better than my old nighthawk model.
This does not work with centurylink fiber as a standalone modem/gateway to replace the century link provided device .
All netgear products have proven to me that they are superior.
