Pros

Remember to get the ultra performance version. We are so thrilled to have this system be able to grow with us over the next five, maybe more years.

Simple instructions, no hiccups and excellent coverage. Device is aesthetically sleek and minimal in regards to package as well as its contents. Setup is really easy if you’re even a little bit tech savvy.

My internet service is 350mbps. Now downloading is uniformly at that level throughout the house. No more internet drop outs,. No more dead zones, no more rebooting.

The new king is the orbi mesh wifi system. The orbi app also provides a plethora of cool options to control your wifi system. Hooray for my new netgear orbi rbr750 router and pair of satellites.

Cons

The wifi is unstable, especially on mack ios devices. The satellite setup is horrible. Even though the app asks you to change the wifi name during setup to you personal name, dont until all setup is completed.

Coverage is good, but there’s a major flaw. Less than awesome.

Works as advertised and strongest signal quality throughout our 4-level townhouse.

This was not possible with the stock router/modem combo.

Bought these with the thought that i’d return it if it wasn’t good but man is it!

I don't recommend it given the price.

Like: speed and simple to set updislike: price (buying additional satellites to replace my older ones broke the bank.

Competitiveness

We previously used a dir-890l (ac3200) router for a little over 6 years.

Right now we have about 45-50 devices connected, and 75% of them via wifi.

To my surprise my computer wouldn’t connect to 5ghz network, even though i was only two drywalls away.

The 5ghz band can be turned off to help any devices that only function at 2.
