Pros
The orbi mesh connects to the internet via a modem or router. It has four sockets for cable connection to pc’s etc. Follow the simple setup steps on the app and your good to go.
Cons
This is a costly system but the quality no longer reflects the price. Don't believe review sites where they have affiliate links and prices. I really regrets purchasing this brand and will ensure that any many people know about this.
Satellites have to be within 8 meter of base station/router for good coverage. No thick stone walls, in fact most are stud walls. There is no indication of how strong the transmitter is in the documentation.
Mesh network itself is sluggish and keeps dropping when moving between areas/satellites. Once a device has an ip address it will hold onto it and orbi will not allocate the reserved ip addres.
Satellites continuously flashes white & blue as if trying to apply a firmware update. Tried resetting and factory defaults and ensuring latest firmeware installed. Perhaps just a faulty unit but anyway. Had to tweak a lot of the settings to help f... Read More

It is clearly a powerful mesh and in the most part has managed to extend our wifi coverage to all parts of the house.
About once every 24 hours, it stops working.
Price
I’ve stuck with it because of how much i paid for it, but it is a source of frustration.

Coverage here had been non existent from my exsiting virgin media hub which is notorious for providing poor reception

Having used power line adaptors to extend my network across the house for the past 15 years which sort of did the job but would occasionally be glitchy i decided to go for the orbi mesh system

My initial concerns that it would not be able to cover the area i need with a stable wifi we’re totally unfounded and now it has been active for a month i am happy to write a review
