Pros
Easy to install after following youtube video. Very easy instructions. Had a few issues related to setup. I hope this device lasts long.
Netgear ex5000 wifi extender was purchased to pair with my netgear r7000 nighthawk router. It is very compact without any antenna. Lt;r7000 5. Mhz name>_5gext i.
Cons
Netgear has the lamest support all glitz but not very helpful.
Bought it to boost but can't get a good signal.

After logging in with the ex 5000i had full service.
Have had the product for a couple of months and it works great.
The original names were appended with the appropriate extension names resepctively.
By the way, my home internet cable plan is 75mbps/10mbps for reference.
Competitiveness
Both these new networks adopted the same passwords of the orginial r7000 networks.

Waited until the power led glowed green constantly

Pressed the wps button on the ex5000 extender first

While the wps led of the ex5000 was flashing on the top of the r7000 router pressed the rightmost led button wps button for 2 seconds so that the latter led also started to flash
