Pros
Netgear ex5000 wifi extender was purchased to pair with my netgear r7000 nighthawk router. It is very compact without any antenna. Mhz name>_2gext and <r7000 5.
Cons
Connects with strong signal 100% but gives extremely weak to no internet connection. Trying to connect a regular modem to the extender using the installation assistant is not easy.
Netgear has the lamest support all glitz but not very helpful. This device is good for nothing. Spend little more to get different brand.

Had problems setting it up because it gave itself the same network name as my other wifi extender in fact it seems to have blocked my other extender

The setup like many other state is very difficult

I used the button on my router and the button on the device and while it worked to connect there the moment you unplug the system and move it to where you need it it no longer works and wont connect

I had to call the support line which i was on hold with for about 30 minutes prior to connecting with someone
