Pros & Cons
Pros
There’s no need to worry about disabling the routing or dhcp functions. And since my home is siding and full of windows the 2nd story foyer location of this access point with the face facing back yard gives me about 150ft coverage.
Wi-fi speeds for single client under windows are rated at 450mbps for the wax630. Gbps and can support up to 456 client devices at once. My iphone xr gets over 600mbps on speedtest using gigabit cable. It works great with 1 gbps speed in my area. Just... Read More
Wireless speeds are a massive upgrade over a wireless-n cisco as expected. Firmware update speeded up the web interface to a point of no complaints.
Ghz and 5ghz bands are excellent, while the 6ghz frequency is fast but has somewhat less reach (as expected, given its short wavelength) ghz bands are not any faster or slower than 5ghz given the same mimo (2x2, 4x4) most if not all clients are 2x2 or... Read More
Really happy with the ap. The ap is pricy but it does work. Fast and dependable wireless connectivity.
Cons
Not a week goes by that i don't have to reset this thing because it turns off it’s own radio. Takes around 10 minutes to start after a reboot as it always appears to download its configuration. Appears to cause intermittent ip address conflicts.
Overall very disappointed. On my first attempt at using their business-grade devices, i was left with a sour taste in my mouth. You can't trust netgear to look out for the customer interests.
The app you have to use is just substandard and slow to react. They give you the first year free, but as soon as your year is up they force you to either pay up or delete the expired device from the portal / app.
This ap is miserably slow. Netgear specs list the dfs frequencies as supported by the hardware but the ap wireless settings config page does not offer them as an option. With the advancements in technology, many ap on the market have much better throu... Read More

I am quite pleased with the performance of this wifi access point.
Physical installation was also simple with the included hardware.
Since i didn’t want to go around and reconfigure all my devices i simply created a new ssid with the same name as the former 5 ... Read More
I then added a second ssid with the other old name and only enabled the 2.
Competitiveness
This is considerably faster than the 5ghz or standard wi-fi 6 standards.
The trendnet poe++ 10g power injector does work, and it does successfully duplex at 2.
