Pros
The overall design and functionality are perfect (imo). The fit and finish are second to none. Alienware is my preferred gaming brand of laptops. It's easy to do on this one.
For the extra money, this thing is a goliath. It uses a 240w power adapter. Unknowns:- battery life.
If you're a gamer or a video editor this is a good choice. Best looking gaming laptop on the market. Works well when playing all of my games on steam.
Everything is zippy and much faster than my current i7 desktop pc. Very fast in virtually all ways; loading, display, booting, etc. Small hiccups compared to the performance capability.
The matte screen is plenty bright at 300nits and the colors are vivid and beautiful to see. Text are sharp and are very legible. It has a matte screen compared to the my acer.
Cons
Battery life is horrible for a gaming laptop. Sometimes it doesn't charge, sometimes it charges so slow battery is draining while charging while just watching netflix, nothing more running. Dell services themselves are garbage.
Highlights
Quality
Opening and closing the screen is smooth and sturdy.
This is a very good performance laptop.
Downside: poor battery life and loud fan noise but that’s expected with any gaming laptop.
Literally burns your hands, besides the standard gaming keys, they must do something to cool those.
Price
A little pricey but overall a great machine.
This is an amazing laptop for the price
So first of all shortly after i bought it the price dropped a couple hundred bucks.
They will only sell you the whole, very expensive keyboard, so that's a blatant money grab.
Shipping
Received the alienware area51m r2 on the date they said i would receive it.
The computer arrived earlier than expected and while ups was rough on the box, it was double boxed and everything was fine.
Packaging/appearance
Package was new and did not look tampered with.
Glad to see there was not much bloatware preloaded, out of the box.
Competitiveness
It preforms identical to my 2070 super, i7 ssd desktop.
Also, there is no mic boost and people on discord and microsoft team can barely hear me using a headset.
That's something plenty of other laptops can't achieve.
In terms of specs, it’s of similar value of other brands’ laptops, but you get much better rgb lighting.

Got a good deal but some of the rgbs are wonky cant complain at the price though
