Pros

The looks are virtually identical, though i might prefer the 813 slightly more. It's most welcome in my rotation of nb w/the 847v4 (a really great shoe) but with these new balance 813's in 6e, they fit my flippers better than nicely. Model 813 (second... Read More

The fit seems right for me, though it's been years since i actually had my foot measured. These have a somewhat boxy toe, rather than a pointy toe. They are sturdy and comfortable.

Cons

They fit like snowshoes. Not much cushion but better than nothing. You hear them slosh about with every step.

The worst thing about them is that they started squeaking after a week and a half of owning them. My main complaint about these is the material the leather is *. They did not even last 2 months before they were already damaged.

Nb 813 are not the answer. Contacted nb only to get bounced between 3 customer service groups.

I don't have any problems with the shoes i should have ordered a wide with but i am keeping them.

So i got another pair and still am happy with this model.

Between sizes), i'd go with the longer size with new balance.
