Pros

They are waterproof, lightweight and comfortable. I live in the sierra nevada mountains, granite rock is common here.

Cons

Once a little dirt enters it just grinds the remaining bond away. This means it's not a fluke and it's time for me to look elsewhere. Unfortunately, the return time is not generous like zappos and my return time has expired.

New balance has a huge problem with soles coming loose over last 10 yrs. Has a phony vibram type outer sole, but not a vibram boot. Both sides of my feet hang over the sole on the sidesand my big toe is smooshed into the others a bit. I have a pair of... Read More

The sizing is 1 size too small and 2 of the eyelets snapped off on first use. But the reason is simple, it is a mislabeled size. The materials are junk and the workmanship poor.
