Pros

The 860v12 is a well built, sturdy shoe. They have a high quality insert and layer of soft blue cushioning foam as the top layer under the insert for extra comfort. Very comfortable (and very stylish) shoes.

The toebox is very roomy, but the heel is well constructed. The heels stiff section on the inside (medial post) keeps the sole from compressing and the arch from falling. These are straight last with support and cushioning.

These are great shoes that i used primarily at the gym as trainers, but i do take them for rent on occasion, and they performed outstanding!

Cons

The lacing system is cheap, not metal lacing holes, which i expect to wear through in less than 6 months. The toe box is also significantly lower and slightly narrower. Back to nike or brooks.

I am disappointed in the quality of the shoe compared to a comparable shoe. It seems each generation they add something new and useful, but then take away something else. Very disappointed.

For stability 860 is the best shoe i have ever owned and fits me perfectly.

Over ten years of running in 860s, upgraded v7 to these v12s, out of the box, fit great, feel fine.

Toe edge fabric is beat up with zero protection which is ok because reinforced toes annoy my toe.

Being over 50 with newly developed plantar faciitis, i could barely walk after work.

Price

I overpronate heavily and these shoes correct this nicely at a very reasonable price.

Overall a good value for this price point.

I wanted to get 11-1/2 w=was overpriced.
