Pros

The sole is very comfortable running on any surface. I have foot problems, and need a very comfortable sneaker. The shoe laces are great and it is a nice shoe, but they need to fix the tongue issue.

Extremely comfortable cushioning. Gave the charcoal ones to a friend in need. Still comfortable and wouldn't be a deal breaker if your ok with it.

My favorite sneaker now. Spacious toe box.

Vibram megagrip is fantastic and quite durable. Great grip for rugged or technical trails. Practical as both a hiker and a trail runner.

Cons

Shoe is very uncomfortable a, stiff and have extremely small toe box. The fabric is rough and irritated my skin even through good cotton socks. The shoe laces feel cheap.

Costs the same as i paid for the v6 but it feels like it was decimated to make it cheaper to produce. Their sizing is significantly smaller, their materials are and their prices are increasing. All the logos feel cheaper and the shoe has a funny smell... Read More

The grip on the outsole has excellent traction in wet conditions.

The outsole is extremely grippy and honestly a true step above every other rubber compound i've ever used, megagrip is legit stuff.

Competitiveness

As i stated above, the asics venture is an excellent trail runner that is almost as good as the new balance hierro at about half the price.

I bought these in both the gore-tex and regular version.
