Pros & Cons
Pros
Light, comfy, plush & bouncy. They're somehow squishy while still being responsive. Enough cushion for comfort and support along with the responsiveness of an every day trainer. It's not as bouncy as v1 but it's definitely more stable.
With those qualifiers, here are my observations of the new balance fuelcell supercomp. I'm a hoka and altra guy but these new balances have out-hoka'd the hokas. Thank you so much to new balance for creating an amazing shoe.
Cons
The new version of this shoe is nothing like v1. The cushioning has decreased significantly. The upper has a very harsh lace seam just above the mid-foot area.
Highlights
Quality
Nice balance of cushion, weight, stability, and responsiveness.
Strong shoe, great support, super bouncy, and good grip for road running.
They would not be good i believe for running trails as they are so cushioned there is almost no stability to keep foot centered.
The carbon plate keeps pushing you forward on your toes so it's really uncomfortable to just stand around in them or walk in them.
Price
I thought i was compromising on colorway because of a sale but i was thrilled when i saw them in person.
Packaging/appearance
Shoes weren't wrapped and had been used previously as can be seen on the outsole.
Competitiveness

Most people looking at these shoes are probably serious runners, but i know there's gonna be some people with money to blow who... Read More
