Pros

They offer true fit in heel, across the balls of my feet, and in the toes area. Good cushioning on the bottom. Mesh/suede leather combination upper that help the feet breathe and a padded sole. This sneaker is true to size.

Own a multitude of this shoe in from new balance; the mr993 in different colors. Saves me a trip to the shoe store once a year. The mid grey colour goes well with almost any clothing.

They provide superb support. My only complaint is that they are a little heavier than i would like. They provide an excellent arch support that is a big plus for me having virtually no arch.

Cons

Even without the noxious odor, these shoes are no longer worth the premium price, with the odor, new balance should be paying us to wear them. Cheap glue causes the sole to fall apart and emit the cat * smell.

New balance 993 is not worth the money because the shoes has become less cushing in the forefoot. These one's i received through amazon just feel cheap and shoddy comparatively.

Price

A little expensive, but the rewards of wear, fit, looks, etc.

They're expensive, but to me, they're well worth the cost for comfort and balance.

Shipping

One small issue was the amazon prime 2 day shipping was actually 3 days.

After a fixable problem with a pair of shoes, the seller offered to replace the shoes, pay the return shipping, and make me happy.

Packaging/appearance

Arrived when promised, gave as a gift and they looked and fit perfectly.

Competitiveness

Since i began running in 1983 (many marathons ago) i have yet to find another road running shoe as good as the new balance 990 series shoe.

I tried many brands of running shoe but, new balance always lasted the longest and was the most comfortable.
