Pros
Super comfy, foot feels in heaven. Good cushioning on the bottom. They are still comfortable and have been relegated to yard duty.
New balance shoes have excellent quality and craftsmanship. This was my first nb shoe, and i made an amazing decision. Saves me a trip to the shoe store once a year.
This shoe is great for walking, running, and everyday walking. New balance has a lot of different types of shoes for different running types.
Cons
They are ok for walking but running that lengthened tongue is a pain. Even without the noxious odor, these shoes are no longer worth the premium price.
The last few pairs just donot last very long. The heals are generally the first to start disintegrating. Looked like a shin splint lever to me.

If you are looking for a great quality sneaker i very highly recommend new balance.
Price
These are top-of-the-line shoes and the price reflects that.
My only complaint is that they are a little heavier than i would like, but maybe that is the price of excellent support.
It's a huge cost savings buying the higher quality shoe.

Well that is except if new balance should decide to drop the 990 series but i seriously cannot see that happening given the following that these shoes have gained over the years
