Pros

Shoe easily allows me to use special insole and extra heel pad. Per my podiatrist's suggestions.

Cons

Shoe quality is good but short belt makes sheo uncomfortable in appearance. Each strap that should go across the top only extends over about one inch of the velcro on each shoe. Maybe they think a regular width strap is enough for xw.

Second pair of similar shoe (nut different model) found same issue. It's as though they were made for an entirely different species. All i can say to any potential buyer is beware!

Used to be my go to shoe for walking. Now the ankle edging is all frayed. The so called leather is hard and stiff. These soles are lumpy.

Amazon had the 577's for 17 bucks less than ebay.

He can now own several pair for the price of one very expensive brand

Not broken in yet but for new balance, the price is still a bargain

He’s worn $200 shoes that are no better than the new balance which cost a fraction of the cost that expensive shoes cost.

I favored the 813 because the tread i felt was better.
