Well-cushioned and excellent construction. Now i have soundless comfort that looks good.
I have foot and knee arthritis, need knee replacements, and am overweight. My only criticism is that the sole seems a bit stiff. This may be more the norm than i realize.
If you are looking for comfort, do not hesitate. The only thing i don't like about the black is the light colored shoelaces - they really stand out when i am wearing black pants.
Cons
I wish that new balance would create this shoe with a more durable material.
Highlights
Quality
I always use them with the orthotics.
They are very comfortable now and i barely notice the size difference with the right foot.
I don't take out the liner that comes with the shoe since it adds to the cushioning, but i put my orthotic right on top of it.
The us made shoes are of high quality and comfortable.
Price
The only negative thing i can say about the new balance wr993 is that the price seems to have gone up.
Believe me the 993 is worth the cost.
The price was so low through this seller too.
Shipping
:)and of course the amazon shipping was on the mark.
I ordered them on february 21st, using amazon's free shipping which worked out very nicely.
78 for shipping they came stuffed in a priority shipping box with one thin packing paper wrap and nothing more.
And i will have to pay for a return shipping as well if i return them.
Packaging/appearance
I've had these shoes for about a year now, and before the 993 i had the 991.
No packing slip and no original packaging.
Competitiveness
I am pleased that they are made in the usa.
Bought them at a lower price than at the new balance store.
This is a discontinued model number and this was the last one in the world.
