Wth is a splice doing in the middle of this cable run? Maybe it works for indoors or direct burial, but i would not use it outside or anywhere it is exposed to direct sunlight or uv.

Cracks are around the circumference of the cable, almost as if they had been scored to strip the cable jacket. Too hard bending around. Has to get down to about 35m to get 1gbps.
