Pros

The camera is mounted on the chin bar of the helmet. The microphone picks up your voice clearly even over road noise and background noise.

The gp9 black is the newest and best gopro. The battery is easily swappable and i think it was worth the upgrade in and of itself. The only con about the camera is battery life.

Size and portability are perfect. Stabilization is phenomenal. Very compact, not clunky. Currently keeping it on the shorty stick for safety.

Cons

Only used brand new, quality ultra 128 memory cards. Usb-c port on the media mod only acts as a charging port. Macbook pro unable to find the device when its plugged in.

Buy a canon or panasonic. Their cameras have excellent picture quality but subpar video recording options. Unless you’re in absolute perfect, midday sunlight, the image quality is * and looks terrible.

The touchscreen is unresponsive. It connects to your site, gets hot and shows it uploading for hours but does nothing. It's too clumsy to control with swipes in all directions. No connectivity to phone app issues.

It's almost like it records 1 second of video and then extracts 1 frame from it. Battery takes hours to charge and less than an hour to discharge. Stops recording after about 60% battery.

The audio quality is abysmal. The program they have to reduce wind noise is a sham. The audio can be muffled for minutes after you have left the water.

However, if you go to the gopro website, you can get just the basic camera for $349.

Shipping

Seller was prompt with shipping and item is new in original packaging.

I’m not sure if it was like this when the seller had it, or if it’s because it was shipped in a bubble envelope rather than a box.

Otherwise, i’m very pleased with the product and fast service!

Maybe it got roughed up during shipping.

Packaging/appearance

The only bad thing is that the packaging looks pretty raggedy.

This is a christmas gift for my son and i’m kinda embarrassed about the way the package looks.
