Pros
Super lightweight and plenty sensitive. Passed my obstacle course. It is light, sensitive, sleek and will no doubt provide many more enjoyable fishing trips.
The rod comes with fuji guides which are perfect for braid use. Pairing the reel with this rod vastly improved performance. Price point is what brings fisherman to try their products.
Super thumbs up for the packaging. Amazing tube packaging in terms of shipping protection.
Cons
The tip of this rod broke. Took the whole branch off and got my lure back. Same result with braided or 20 lbs fire line. Plastic thread for the reel nut is going to come off eventually as it hangs on very little.
Used it for the first time today and was throughly disappointed. Their warranty *. I love kastking products but this is highly disappointing!
Broke after 3rd casting. Looks like the glue didn't hold? Luckily i have a spare bottom section from the 1st one that broke.

Yes i know this pole is specifically designed for bass and the lamiglass is a salmon rod.
Price
For the cost you really can’t beat this rod.
For a 2 pc rod @ a low price this rod functions beyond expectations.
I'm a budget fisherman and i have a few kastking rods - crixus, spartacus, and royal select.
For this one, it is very good for the price although i haven't figured out how durable it is.

This rod arrived from amazon well packaged and damage free.
Packaging/appearance
The packaging was nicely done and sturdy
It came packaged well in a solid tube with inserts holding it from rattling around inside.
They come well packed in cardboard containers.
Nice and tightly wrapped inside is your rod, which has zero damage.
Competitiveness
I have the crixus and 2 different reels.
Finally, stay away from their reels - for a few dollars more you can get entry lews or abu garcia which are miles ahead of them.

All in all as a budget brand kastking is a viable option but of the three royal select is the best of that bunch with the spartacus running second and the crixus a very distant third
