The only problem i had was when fishing with flip cast rods i had to loosen the drag down very low because flipping the bail wouldnt keep enough tension on the line for the product to work

As a side note i received one alarm that was broken due to a burst battery

It works its cheap enough but not sturdy dropping one from about maybe a foot on some rocks rendered it useless
