Work perfectly and it's an official product.
It will not work with the 3ds xl or the original 3ds released years ago.
Looks good with the mario white, but you do have to make sure the console is seated properly for charging -- you can't just drop it in.
If you are in the usa it will only work with the 3ds released with the happy home designer bundle.

Didn't realized there is an american version that ships faster, but this shipped very fast and it's the same dock so it all worked out.

Also note that this does not come with the ac adapter which is kind of a bummer but par for the course for nintendo products sold today

The only con i can think of for this is that you obviously cant play with the 3ds while charging in the cradle as it sits vertically upside down to charge
