I especially like the varying heat temperatures and the different led color display lights for the different temps. I use it daily and i love the led lights, they help me know when its ready from the dining room because the lights turn off.

All our good stuff was from the grandparents, and that's just what they had. Those $10 kettles from yesteryear are still superior to the $300 chemex ones.

Selecting the water temperature does make a noticeable difference in the taste of the tea. It makes tea, hot chocolate, and oatmeal a breeze.

The lid is not air or water tight since its hinged on the handle side it will not flip open during pouring. The button to lift the lid only works half the time. The lids fall off nearly immediately.

The handle indicates what temp you've set it to, so the colored light is really only useful as a indicator that it's reached the set temp. Not stop boiling, turn off entirely. I'm a * for led lights but the novelty went away fairly quickly.

This is just such a * cheaply made product. Looks good, but is cheap junk.
