Pros & Cons
Pros
Great introduction into the audiophile realm. The sound is surprising good for a $75 hp. And lastly, reviews and rtings.
Bass is balance, not overpowering but still there. Brighter and more vivid, rather than laid back and dark. Highest registers could feel a little screechy (rarely) a 'thinner' presentation vs the beyerdynamic.
Google shp9500 v4 reddit for the detailed equalizer settings. For durability the 9600s feel solid. Nothing loose. Headphone is very comfortable.
Cons
The inside padding is incredibly thin and not very soft. They're at least comfortable if there is any redeeming qualities to these. Will not buy and will advise my friends+family against it.
The sound quality for both microphone and headset are quite poor. The ear pads are a very coarse fabric material that does not fit well against your ears. Even a casual listener can detect poor quality, especially for you audiophiles.
People like me have to be on the lookout for passable comfort. Do your research on other brands or you will be disappointed.

Highlights
Quality
The quality of this headphone really impress me!
They are flat, but in a fun way, very clear sound, right amunt of bass, good build quality.
He couldn't believe the sound quality vs gaming headphones.
2) the cord it comes with is extremely long and tangles easily.
Price
These headphones are incredible for the money.
I liked them a lot, and if i had to choose only one headphone to have within a budget, i would feel good about these.
I think i paid like 35 bucks for those, so even half what i paid for the shp 9600.
Conclusion: for 70 dollars, you could do a lot worse.
Competitiveness
I’ve had countless pairs of $200 plus gaming headphones wireless and not and these were so much better than anything i’ve ever tried.
I use this while working and listening to spotify or xm and these sound just as good or perhaps better than my $300 bose headphones.
Honestly, i felt the shp9600 still retrieves details just like the shp9500, it's just two steps back.
Note: i have owned beyerdynamic dt 770 pro 250 ohm (with dac x6 amp), status audio cb-1, sennheiser rs 175, moondrop chu ii, so... Read More
