It doesnt screw in a 100 of the way from my perspective but it doesnt deter it from doing keeping your camera on

I would say it screws on maybe 95 of the way and stops

I had to buy another one because the battery grip was giving me the error please turn off the camera and turn it back on

I dont know what is causing this error but it is definitely the grip and not the camera so i bought another one and sent the old one back

Someone suggested putting foam in between the camera and the grip

Just be aware if you get that error to turn off the camera and turn it back on its probably the grip and not the camera

There is not a micron of play on this thing when screwed up to the body of the camera

The only negative to mention is that the tripod thread is not located under the center of the lens which if you are doing non static shots on a tripod will be an issue when shooting video
