Pros
It s very helpful that you can adjust the fan voice. This is what creates enjoyable watching. The fan noise is not awful and the volume of the speakers is great we tested up to 65 with no or low distortion.
Highlights
Quality
The 20w speakers built into the projector are surprisingly good, eliminating the need for external speakers.
The build material is outstanding, the remote control is a nice touch to be included.
Annoying thing is that phono leads tend to slip out of the headphone socket.
The first consideration with projector -based viewing is that the images are no better than the originalimage.
Price
This is probably worth 5 stars for it’s price but i’m giving 4 so that people know it’s not one of those paid reviews.
Great value for money and may be great as a gift!
I doubt you will get another one this good for this price.
I recommend it for the price about 300 usd.
Packaging/appearance
Unboxing the pj40 and the packaging was perfect.
Competitiveness
The first two photos compare high-ish and low ambient lighting - low lighting wins hands down.
I have not tried the apple cast as i do not have an apple phone so cannot comment if that works better than mirrorcast.

Had the projector up and running within 5 mins connect to wifi or ethernet and youre off

This is not a smart unit and will rely on streaming from either a phonetabletcomputer or via your network

The sound was quite impressive however if you raise the brightness the fan speed also increases as does the noise from them so maybe external speakers would be better

Basically fancier than the cheapest ones but nowhere near the eye wateringly expensive home cinema set ups

If i will have any improvement will be the lid for the lens would love to have buld it in but the plastic cap included adds protection to the lens so i will say is perfect
