Pros

Followed the instructions about calling my isp to activate. The 2nd lan jack is awesome!

It works flawlessly and as promised. Went smoothly with *. I have 2 google mesh points and it works great all together.

Cons

We bough 2 arris sb8200 in the row, thinking that one of them might be faulty. The sb8200 on the other hand has periods of deafness when the 3. It's rubbish and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

The csr has a default ip conflicting with my wi-fi routers. Arris needs to address this issue, as i found many frustrated people posting online about having the same problem with this modem.

The modem is over 50x slower on average. That is way below my expectation.

700 is a lot of money though still.

Not a big deal, but mildly annoying.

Most time spent waiting to reach my isp to report my mac address.

I love the same day and one day delivery amazon offers.

I ordered this one, called my cable provider, and was provisioned in a few minutes.

The box has been opened before but the modem inside looks new.

Competitiveness

In any case, i think this modem is just as good as my older modem and i like the brand.

Again, arris is the brand you can trust if you need a cable modem.

It is unfortunate that arris or xfinity do not disclose that.
