Pros & Cons
Pros
The army duffel bag is waterproof. I used it on a windbreaker jacket that is water resistant, but it didn't have a hood. It will clothe you.
Cons
The label indicates the outer shell is 91% cotton and 9% polyester. Didn't work on my 65% poly 35% cotton garments. Other nikwax products work better than this on the same garments.
After the “mailbox is full’ message, it immediately disconnects you. Tried to reapply manually in a bucket with same results. Had to return and reorder.
Highlights
Quality
I am totally happy with this product.
I can hold water with the fabric!
If you do not do these extra steps the product won't work well.
Cotton by nature is not water repellent however with this product water will (for the most part) run off your coat.
Packaging/appearance
You don't want soap residue left in the bucket when using nikwax cotton proof.
I took my jacket out of the washer after the1st spin cycle.
Competitiveness
My llbean cotton-blend jacket needed 3 coats.
I want to give a 5-star but the waterproofing of the entire surface is hard to achieve, even though i know i have bought the right amount.
