Pros
Nikiwax products are easy to use together to restore waterproofing. Not perfect as out-the-factory-waterproofing. Feels more like fabric than "swish swish" sounding tech gear clothing.
Easy peasy. Works as indicated. Just follow the label instructions. Been using this combo for years.
Did my waterproofing in the washer and dryer. Cleaned with just moderate agitation by hand.
Fonctionne très bien. Worth every single penny. Lets see how long it lasts.
Cons
The interior coating was shredded and deposited in clumps over the exterior of the jackets. Water seeps instantaneously. Do not buy this product.

Nikwax works very well but i confess my amusement to how bad the packaging and fluid amounts are.
Competitiveness
I haven't tried other brands, so i can't compare how well it works compared to others, but i'm pleased and the price is reasonable.
Unfortunately, there aren't many other options out there.
