This is solid plastic with the normal mesh screen

The bottom of this permanent filter is flat and can stand on its own

In addition there is also an overflow escape mouth at the top on one side of the filter to allow water coffee to drain out of the mesh filter in case there is a clog that affects the flow rate

I know the product image posted here on amazon shows two overflow escapes at the top of the filter one on each side but for some reason mine has only one

The only thing is that i wasn’t thinking when i ordered it is that it does not filter out the bean oil
