Pros

It has a feather which works well and the pod attachment works great. Luv the 2 brew methods k cup and whole pot methods.

The frother feels very sturdy and froths milk really fast. Iced or hot, 3 different brew strengths. I made first espresso cup, it is delicious.

Calling their customer service was surprisingly painless. No long wait time, and not a crazy long menu of * to press. We’ll see how long it lasts.

Cons

The error is it doesn't register the single cup brew. It is an insanely messy coffee maker. The coffee making cycle stops when it decides it needs cleaning leaving an inch of coffee in the pot and brewing completely stops.

While ninja may not care about losing one customer among millions, i will feel better knowing i am no longer contributing my hard-earned dollars to their profit. Disappointed in the product and not lasting.

Average lifespan of these units is less than 1 year. Sometimes it shuts down 2 times, sometimes as many as 8 times.

Design and durability is questionable. My experience with ninja support was so humiliating.

Doing this ensures the plumbing inside stays clear of buildup and the machine continues to function as it should.

I initially purchased a keurig express as a mother’s day gift, and it broke within one week of normal use—our third keurig in two years.

So, not a bad experience other than a machine that’s regularly $200 should stand up to mild usage for more than 11 months.

Update: i called ninja customer service and because it’s under a year they are sending me a new base!

No long wait time, and not a crazy long menu of buttons to press to get to talk to a person.

Competitiveness

In fact the drip coffee feature rivals my ancient technivorm in the “rich” mode.

And for some reason it brews pods that taste a lot better than several kuerigs we have owned.

My keurig died after several years and i basically wanted to try a different brand.
