Pros & Cons
Pros
Ninja steak knives are very nice steak knives. Made from high quality german stainless steel and is super sharp. They are heavier than previous stainless steel knives i've use. These are better knives that the price suggests and are solid midrange kni... Read More
The neverdull system is for ease of use and for someone who doesn't know how to sharpen a knife. The sharpener seems like a bit of overkill, but it is a safer way to sharppen if you are concerned about the process.
They have razor-sharp edges, and cut wafer-thin slices of fruit and vegetables. They have a smooth blade, not serrated, which is great for allowing them to be sharpened when needed.
The ninja foodi chef knife is a good, low maintenance chef knife. It's well designed with the ability to remove the cardboard on the back thanks to strategic perforation. For this one, my spouse prefers the shorter version of this same knife.
Cons
This is for thesharpener only. It got stuck in the sharpener. Their customer service, however, is terrible.
Highlights
Quality
The blades are well made and decent thickness and sharpness.
I’ve had these 4 steak knives for almost a year now, and the quality is still fantastic.
All of the knives are heavy, even the small paring knife.
After 20 years, very little signs of breaking down, and any signs there are, are more related to misuse and abuse, than to lack of quality.
Price
I really enjoy these, especially for the price.
The sharpness is excellent at a competitive price
Valuetrident - you get what you pay for.
They cost a lot, but after 20 years, show no sign of failing.
Shipping
Just like we unboxed them on day one.
Packaging/appearance
So naturally, i cut myself just removing it from its packaging!
The packaging itself is very sturdy so it was a bit of a job to get them out of the casing which is an excellent safety feature.
The product packaging instructs that the sharpener is designed for use only with ninja 'neverdull' knife products and using oth... Read More
These came in a plastic box on a plastic tray.
Competitiveness
They cut better than any other knife i've owned.
The chef's knife is also very nice for very similar reasons.
That said, the “neverdull” branding is simply a marketing strategy.
You can get the entire set, plus the ninja foodie sharpening system for less than i paid for the tridents 20 years ago.
