I am very happy with this smaller model.
Grandkids make smoothies with the big one.

Yes, the nutri-bullet will chop and liquefy just about anything, but this does too.
Price
But for the price, i have no complaints!
May not be a vitamix but the price isn't high either.
Packaging/appearance
I've taken to using a bottle brush to get up into the creases.
With this one, you don't have to turn the the mixer upside down.
It's sometimes hard to clean it thoroughly all the way into the molded plastic.
Was packed badly, and the one i got had been pre-opened.
Competitiveness
I should also mention that i do have a nutri-bullet, but i love this thing even more.
Update - august 13, 2018 i can't tell you how much i love this thing!

Without sharp blades it would not cut through ice with ease

Third it takes up very little space on my counter tops and i have a small kitchen so thats key

With a bullet and even the cuisinart there is only a blade at the bottom or top with some attachments for the cuisinart

The only con is sometimes food particles get stuck in the cover and its almost impossible to get completely clean
