The rapid cooker is the only ninja cooking appliance that is square. I think it's important to clarify a few things on this unit - for those folks that face lack of room, like me. The cord is long enough for counter use and is firmly attached.

Both the cooking pot and the crisper tray are very easy to clean washing by hand. All the parts are teflon-like coated and hand washing is a breeze. Clean up a snap with a soft sponge and soapy water.

It is the ultimate artifact and a great present for bachelor kid setting his first home. The base is solid and steady. Sturdy and definitely a time saver. Like a new car, patio furniture, or artist sculpture?

Cons

The ninja has a loud beeping noise that terrifies our dog. Was full of grease.

First, the nonstick coating on this blows all other brands out of the water.

On the other hand the speedi is noisier and larger (check the measurements if you have a small countertop) than the gourmia.

I like the controls and menu system on the speedi better.
