Pros
These cables are the nintendo brand component cables, and they don't disappoint. Due to low demand during production these are really hard to find, and therefore pricey. They are well worth the coin, one hundred percent under certain circumstances.

Retro gamers and collectors love that, hence the skyrocketing price. Despite the insane price, this cable breathes new life into the console. If you have a flat screen and are a * gamer/collector this is a must!
Cons
Do not reward the atrocious mark up on this item. You buy 4 or 5 wii consoles with full backwards compatibility for the amount of money these people are trying to charge.

I have no problems with it, other than the high price point for this piece, not the quality, is why i give it 4 stars.
The improvement in picture quality is fantastic with this cable.
If you just want better video quality for your gamecube games pick up a cheap wii at a pawn shop and one of their component cables.
S-video delivers picture quality simluar to composite, but puts out massive dot-crawl arifacts and ringing that is worse than the latter.
Price
So i was felt the price was a little insane but i got some better graphic quality out of my games and that's what i wanted.

Well, they were wrong as a ps3 game in an xbox-360.
They came in a generic ziplock bag with no labels.

The whole idea of these cables is that they display picture in 480p resolutions instead of the normal 480i that is used with the standard analog av cable

If you remember the intro video in twilight princess you saw that everything looked reddish and somewhat blurry

You will have to own a dol001 model gamecube because later versions of the system removed the digital av port

If you are not sure if you have a compatible cube you can easily check by looking for a second av port on the back of your system labeled digital av out next to the analog av out

Also for audio signals you will still have to use the stereo white and red cables on the regular analog cable that is packaged with the cube

Available exclusively on nintendos online store for a limited time these cables did not sell well and were eventually discontinued thus making them hard to find and very overpriced

Due to their 95 average pricepoint i would never recommend these cables because a friend because they could simply buy a wii with that money instead while adding an extra 30 for a wii component cable that works similarly although in my honest opinion the gamecube component cables look a tad bit better than the wiis while playing gamecube games
