I use it to secure my hiking pants which are too baggy but functional so i dont care about the aesthetics

If you use the buckle and lean onto something like a counter in a store bank etc it sometimes pops open but because the buckle is so small no one would notice

The problem i would have with how pants fit is the waistline would gape at the back

I dislike traditional belts because over the course of the day they would slide down and would give the appearance of a muffin top that should not have been there
