Pros

The chipset used on this amp is great for the price. It works even better than the previous receiver i owned as a power source. The palpable sensation of sound that it brings the world of what you’re watching or listening to, comes alive.

The sub is a 4ohm 12 sub in the polk audio box. Replaced the bad plate amp on my jbl balboa sub 10. Offers great control which ranges from a gentle thumping bass to whatever your sub can handle.

The voltage and current ratings are both right on the necessary values. The recommended power supply isn't optimal for that, but would get me to 67 w peak (limited by the voltage). V, 8a are reasonably common and inexpensive. A 90w power supply power ... Read More

Cons

It's possible i received a defective amp. It was distorted as * at anything past the 80% mark. I'm sure this would work for a very small speaker such as anything smaller than a 6x9 but beyond that is a gamble.

Unfortunately, i don't have a passive sub handy, so i don't have an opinion about the sound quality.

Powers a 150w 6 inch sub and boy does it work.

I bought a 4-ohm passive sub a long time ago at a garage sale, which i didn't know how to deal with it.

The sub is a 4ohm 12" sub in the polk audio box.

I'm using an 18v power supply so i may bump it up to a 24 and see if i can make them move a little more.
