The speakers i use with the amp is the tekton lore two-way floor-standers which are 98 db efficient.
I listen only to classical music, midrange lusciousness and detail in the highs is essential to me.
You need efficient speakers, >90db, and a small to medium room, since the amp only puts out about 10 watts per channel.
The mullards are warmer, and the tung sols have a bit more oomph than the originals.
Price
If you think about it, i have a great little tube amp, exquisite speakers, and a really good cd player for about $1000!
For the money this little tube amp is a steal!
I am driving martin logan motion lx 16 's ( discontinued but still available for $237 each from amazon.

The amp arrived with the incorrect power cord, but that was easily fixed via amazon.

In my system the kt 77s sound smoother then the psvane el34s but the psvanes are a little more open especially in the treble

Also the rectifier tube started showing blue arcing right after turning on the unit and although it played fine i replaced that tube with a jj 5u4a
