As for other noctua products, this is well made and makes an appreciable difference to the working temperatures of the pc. It's nice to see noctua still making air coolers in a water cooled world!
This one seems to be quite effective, clipping into lugs on the cooler fins. It also cools well. The base is mirror smooth.
Cons

This is a great cpu cooler and as far as i am concerned achieving a reduction of 25 degrees is well worth the cost.
Stock ryzen 3600 cooler:idle - 55 cgaming - 70 cstress test - 85 cnoisynoctua:idle - 35 cgaming - 55 c (max i saw).
Packaging/appearance
Superb cpu coolers and fans top quality packaging and accessories worth that little bit extra
Noctua packaging, accessories and mounting hardware are excellent as always.
Competitiveness
As for other noctua products i have bought, this is well made and makes an appreciable difference to the working temperatures of the pc.
Would highly recommend noctua products to anyone who is looking for great performance.
I've never seen my 8700k powered with a 1080 ti go above 70.
In most cases noctua fan doesn't even need to ramp up to 100% only when stress testing.

Handbrake the cpu temperature was reaching 97100 and thermal throttling constantly

After fitting the noctua nhu9s my cpu temperature never gets above 75 even going full out 100

When i was happy with it i applied the thermal paste and fitted the cooler and screwed into place
