Noctua includes everything you need to complete the installation including good head sink grease. Mounting the brackets was a bit fiddly. Only issue is with install.

The packaging is astounding! It works like a champ! I wish sellers would provide contextual images for their products.
The noctua nh-d9l is an incredibly epic and powerful tool for any serious computer builder or gamer. For simplicity, reliability, and craftsmanship…unless you’re severely over clocking, nothing beats noctua products.
Cooling on an i7 12700f for it's 110mm size. My fx-8350 seems to work really well under it. The matx case is well ventilated with side perfs and a rear exhaust fan. More than plenty for stable gaming at 1080p for any game currently released.

Amazing cooler keeps my cpu 20 degrees cooler and is quite and super easy to install even has good thermal paste with it!
It's cooling an intel core i5 12600k / 30c idle temperatures and prime95 at 75c (145w) love noctua, insane quality
Now the fan never gets over ~1600-1700rpm and the temp doesn't break the mid 70s on the same workload.
Upon activating the case fan and cpu fan at 50%, the cpu idle temperature drops further to 43°c.
Price
Good value for the money and these are solid.
Noctua is always great and the price here was perfect for an older board with an unlocked i-7 cpu i'm fixing up to give away.

Packaging/appearance
I cannot believe the fact that the empty bags were within the box but without the mounting parts (they were opened and emptied).
Per the packaging it will fit in a 3u rack case (along with basically any tower desktop machine.
Competitiveness
There are many great brands that do just fine - noctua is the best if your concern is sound control.
This fan setup is superior to the stock heatsink.

This said i ended up going with a 12th gen cpu but this cooler was staying cool on both the 14th gen itself was apparently defective but this cooler cant be blamed for that
