I was blow away by the quality of this fan.
I suspect the low quality, default case fan varies in noise from unit to unit.

Pretty affordable at full speed they can be loud but they are alright for me they can be controlled however so it's not a big issue

Competitiveness
I went with noctua brand because of the reviews and i am really impressed with the product.
Unlike some of the cheaper quiet fans, these guys will run for years and stay quiet.
It's so quiet that i can now hear the other fan that's to cool the nvr case and plan on replacing that with the same brand fan.
If noctua would make a 40x40x20 5v pwm fan that was rated at 8,000 rpm, i would love to compare that in operation to the stock ... Read More

Noctua is a good fan but they waste a lot of the cost on silly overpackaged boxes

No one needs a velcro door to view the fan through the back of the box

Turns on when its needed and off when its not

The only complaint is the rubber corners on the top of the fan eventually rubbed off and one day one of them jammed the fan blade up and almost overheated my nano
