Pros & Cons
Pros
These are the quietest fans i have used in almost 20 years of pc building. Very quiet. There is also a variety of cable adapters that let you pick what you're plugging it into. Works great and its quieter and moves more air then fan it replaced.
Simply fantastic. The color on it's own isn't the most attractive, but once you get inside of your case placed on one of their cooling towers, it just looks awesome. 2.
Comes in packaging suitable for tiffany's. Love the rubber buffering around the edge and the rubber anchors. They are a phenomenal company that i will do business with whenever i have the need.
Fans come in great packaging and have several different adapters so you're not scrambling for the correct pin connector. Even though it comes with header adapters, it's best to order the correct one suited for your motherboard.
Cons
The secret of these fans' low noise is that they run slowly and produce only a fraction of their rated airflow.
Highlights
Quality
They cost a few dollars more, but quality is well worth the price.
Prive is great, they are noctua fans so the build quality is great and they have a 5 year warrenty to boot.
It has something to do with the power usage of the fan being too low for the bios to read.
Would not recommend this fan for the ds220+.
Shipping
Unfortunately (or fortunately) the original replacement wasn't in stock anywhere with a reasonable shipping time, so i got this one.

**ds918+** direct replacement for the fans on the synology ds918+.
Competitiveness
I added a different brand to test the noise level and it was honestly like 10+db quieter than the competitor.
Knowing that i never had a noctua fan failed, this will last for a long time in the wine cooler.
Edit: seems like this fan ends up stopping after a few minutes due to synology software on dsm 7.
My poor synology ds218+ nas has become a catch-all for wood dust and.
