Noctua u12s se-am4 is one of the pricier aftermarket heatsinks for the amd ryzen cpus. Fits coolermaster haf xb evo case. Works great, keeps the r5 1600 under 60c when under load. The cpu is the zen 5 3600 (zen 2) which is known to reach higher temper... Read More
Fan rated 150,000 hours. Comes with nt-h1 thermal paste. Highly recommended for air cooling.
Cools it well, temps typically max out at around 67c. Immediate drop of 18 degrees celsius from stock cooler on idle. Most importantly is noticeably quieter than both while doing it.
After installing this my pc is nearly silent. Absolutely dead silent.
Highlights
Quality
As always, noctua delivers a solid product.
I've been buying this brand for sometime and they still make a very solid product.
The quality of the fins and general heatsink assembly absolute trounces on lesser heatsinks.
The fact is you'll see almost identical results with the stock cooler, just at afore mentioned higher noise levels.
Packaging/appearance
I really love the recyclable cardboard packaging.
Competitiveness
I have had noctua products before and this lives up to expectations i have come to expect from this brand.
Sure, a bit more expensive than some competitors, but ease of mind is worth something too.
It's now sitting on a ryzen 7 3700x and keeps it around 78-82 c whens it's overclocked to 4.
I had this on a ryzen 7 1700 that pulled 160 watts and it didn't go above 78 c.

Youd be better off putting the additional cash towards a higher end cpu if you can go from a 3600 to 3700x for example
