Pros

Noctua fans are huge improvements in lowering the noise levels, and they are not poo color (which is another positive)! The airflow feels similar to the old fan and the scope is quieter than it ever was.

This fan has the cable with 3 pin connector and installation screws. It's cheaper than noctua's normal fans and comes with no claptrap. Yet another example of noctua brilliance.

The storage array is the owc thunderbay 4 raid with thunderbolt 2. Used this to replace the stock fan of my synology nas. It is humming along happily now.

Cons

This is my first redux fan and i have to say i'm disappointed. If you hold it in your hand it's quiet but the motor generates vibrations that are transmitted through the plastic frame to whatever you mount it to. I suspect they just toss these all int...  Read More

Quality

Product easy to use and to install

Great fan, added very little noise to my cpu and my cpu sits less than 12 inches from my keyboard.

The stock fan for my synology ds220+ kept making a small a clicking sound, even on quiet mode.

The computer started up and ran normally but made a lot of noise.

Price

I've purchased noctua fans in the past from amazon, well worth the price.

Could be quieter, but for the money it’s great.

This fan is quiet at a cheap price.

Shipping

I ordered the pwm version of the 92mm nf-b9 but it has not arrived yet for testing.

Packaging/appearance

Nice packaging, sleeved power cable, silent operation.

This fan is beautifully quiet compared to the original, includes screws, and is well packaged.

The box they come in is ridiculously fancy considering they're just fans.

Competitiveness

These fans push more air than the other brand and are damn quiet.

Initially i went with another popular "silent" pc fan brand, but they produced an annoying high pitch sound.

92mm fans are usually noisy no matter the brand but this one is super quiet.

I got an alert from the synology that the old fan was starting to fail

Notereplacement was easy enough except taking apart the main unit there are two plastic tabs which have to be pushed apart from a metal crossbar you have to be careful here as you could bend the metal internal drive caddy chassis

The power cable is a bit long so you will need some thermal table to properly align it else it could get in way of hd drive as it slides in or main plastic chassis

Its keeping an old netgear rn314 4bay nas cool and quiet after the oem fan finally started grinding its bearings a little

While getting the synology 218 is not all that easy replacing the fan with this was and it is humming along happily now

The stock fan was so loud for no reason even in light loads it was like always constantly running

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

Its significantly louder than the premium version and doesnt seem to be affected by the low noise adaptors
