Pros
Form factor means it can be connected next to other usb connections without blocking other ports. Added an antenna, ais-catcher software, and was off to the races. Works great for qo-100 downlink connected to a bullseye lnb.

Very sensitive to nudges and bumps while in use and doesnt help usb a ports are weak so not very user friendly.
Photograph shows it being used with mobile sdr software to receive broadcast fm radio.
Price
Lots of fun and listening for £35.
2mhz of bandwidth is very usable, more is great but you have to pay for it.
Use on the phone as an sdr does consume battery, perhaps a cost of the higher stability or a cost with external sdrs in general.

Packaging/appearance
It would be interesting to know if that came internally as it is present when plugged into the phone even without antenna connected.

At least one other brand is much wider than this one, and basically blocks off the usb ports left and right of it.
If you want hf bands then the rtl-sdr v3 is better value overall fir lower ranges as it doesn’t require an up-converter.

As for actual functionality hooked it to a raspberry pi added an antenna aiscatcher software and was off to the races

Improved reception on hf not so good on uhfeven with a good vhfuhf antenna
